About Me

Why journalism?

Recently, a CNN correspondent asked me an important question: why journalism? After all, journalism is demanding, fast-paced and ruthless at times. But, that's why I love it. It's ever-changing, and no work day is ever the same. Being a journalist means being a part of history. It means giving a voice to the voiceless and making your mark on the world. I've always wanted my career to make a lasting impact, and journalism presents the opportunity to do exactly that.

My Latest Chapter: CNN

I recently completed an internship with CNN. I was selected to be the spring intern for the News Desk Reporting Team as a part of their National News Hub. I met so many incredible individuals, and I am beginning to grasp what it means to be a truly successful journalist. This invaluable experience taught me so much about working in a newsroom and writing for diverse audiences far and wide. From my first interview with CNN to my first published article, this was an opportunity I will never forget.

Who am I?

I am a senior at Kennesaw State University. I'm majoring in journalism and emerging media with a minor in professional writing. I am highly driven, ambitious and eager to learn.

I have always had an intense love for writing. As I began my college career, I knew journalism was the best path for me to channel my passion. I will continue pursuing journalism, and I hope to find my perfect fit in the field after I graduate.

The Sentinel: Kennesaw State University's Newspaper

I am an editor and writer for my school's newspaper. I was recently promoted to the position of desk editor for the Arts and Living section. I will be editing and managing the work of several writers, conducting meetings and publishing stories on the paper's website.

I also interview students and professors, as well as conduct thorough research to produce articles for the paper. I will be updating my website with my articles as I write them.

Not only am I a staff writer for the general area, but I am also the baseball writer for the spring of 2025. For each game I attend, I write meticulous notes about each play, interview coaches and players afterward, then write an article about its turnout.
