Hi, I'm Devyn.

I am a senior at Kennesaw State University majoring in Journalism and Emerging Media with a minor in Professional Writing. I am highly driven, ambitious and eager to learn new skills.

I have always had an intense love for writing, but my passion for journalism didn't spark until my college career began. I changed my major from English to Journalism my sophomore year, and I fell deeply in love with storytelling and digging into the truth.

I have only a few short weeks until graduation, and I am searching for my next chapter in journalism.

Why Journalism?

A CNN correspondent asked me a career-defining question: why journalism? After all, journalism is demanding, fast-paced and ruthless at times. But that's precisely why I love it.

The field is ever-changing, and no work day is ever the same. Being a journalist means being a part of history. It means giving a voice to the voiceless and making your mark on the world.

I've always longed for a career that will make a lasting impact, and journalism presents the opportunity to do exactly that.
